As a core priority at progressive, we build it into every stage of project delivery. From planning and coordination through to site operations and review, we keep high standards across both our in-house and on-site teams. Our aim is simple: we want everyone to go home healthy after a day’s work. We focus on six key areas that shape how our projects are delivered safely and properly.
With formal management systems in place, responsibility for health & safety sits at director level, led by Nathan Stephens, with day-to-day management led by Ryan Cartlidge, our dedicated Health & Safety Manager.
We review our health & safety performance weekly at senior management level. Our systems manage and monitor this through Procore and SharePoint to maintain consistency across projects nationwide.
We generate risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) in-house as part of project planning and delivery. High-risk activities, particularly work at height, are carefully assessed, planned, and controlled before work begins on site.
With mandatory H&S training in place across our site teams, regular toolbox talks also reinforce site standards. Supervisors and managers working towards recognised management qualifications are also supported with ongoing development.
All installers, subcontractors, and suppliers working with progressive have pre-qualification, site induction, and ongoing health & safety monitoring. Having this oversight means we consistently maintain our standards across the wider supply chain.
We record and monitor incidents, observations, and near misses as part of a positive reporting culture. Focused on learning, accountability, and continuous improvement, we share lessons learned across the business to help strengthen our delivery.
