This was a strip-and-re-sheet.
Twin-skin metal off; Tata composite back on.
Hermes, now Evri, had purchased an empty unit in Plymouth to be converted into a new distribution centre for the South-West. They had a set date for when they wanted the site to be operational which meant a tight programme. The old roof was a twin-skin construction that had failed, as had the existing gutters. To meet current regulations for the new roof we installed Tata’s 120mm core composite sheet. While installing the new roof we lined all of the gutters with a single-ply membrane and replaced the internal parapet sheeting and flashings. The work was completed within the tight programme, and to the contractor and client’s satisfaction.
