National vocational qualification (NVQ)

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Cladding Operations (Construction)

The NVQ level 2 Cladding Occupations qualification structure specifies of a combination of units that need to be achieved for the individual to be awarded the qualification. On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CITB HS&E test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the blue CSCS skilled worker card.

Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management

Develop and prove you have the skills needed to be a knowledgeable, qualified construction site manager. This NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management will cover health and safety, site set-up, pre-start procedures, environmental considerations, planning, resourcing, quality, customer satisfaction and handover.

Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Management

Abrasive Wheels

This course covers:

  • Key legislation and guidance
  • The common hazards
  • Selection and handling of wheels
  • Safe use of wheels
  • The use of personal protective equipment and respiratory protective equipment and controlling the risk posed by dust.

International Powered Access Federation (IPAF)

IPAF 3a, 3a+ – Scissor lifts, vertical personnel platforms (mobile).
IPAF 3b, 3b+ – Self-propelled booms.

Manual Handling

This course covers:

  • Manual handling risk factors and how injuries can happen
  • How to use mechanical aids
  • How to carry out safe manual handling, including good handling techniques
  • Systems of work relevant to the worker’s tasks and environment.

NEBOSH

Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK)

Learners will be better able to influence their on-site colleagues to work more safely because they will gain the confidence and technical know-how to challenge unsafe behaviours and offer practical solutions.

Aligned to CDM regulations, NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) is guided by legislation but focussed on best practice.
