The new 190m depot building, which opened in 2021, runs adjacent to the station so it is very visible to the public. This houses a three-storey block accommodating staff and facilities, opposite platform 6 of St David’s station. Behind this is a three-road maintenance shed. We also built the wash building, a plant room for the wash building, and a plant room for the wash, which includes a green room. This was built using Kingspan multi-groove panel which gives an aesthetic appearance of smaller panels. The design also incorporated a special movement joint to allow for the movement of cranes, which our design team partnered with the architect and engineer to create.
